(GO RUSH!!) Cards from Episode 45

Literally a deck from a Star Trek episode.

Not confirmed for release, et. Al. but believe it or not is your problem!

ギャラクティカ・デジャヴュ Galactica deja vu
Level 2 LIGHT monsters with galaxy effect
ATK 0
DEF 1200
【REQUIREMENT】 When your opponent has 4000 or more LP, you can activate this by sending this face-up card you control to the Graveyard.
【Effect】 Send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard. If this card is a Level 4 or lower LIGHT Galaxy Normal Monster, you can Special Summon this monster face-up on your field. Then inflict damage to your opponent equal to the original ATK of the monster Special Summoned by this effect.

All of Nishaw’s puns are increasingly painful jokes about not being able to make up his mind about something that fits his race’s Star Trek-like extraterrestrial nature of being incredibly indecisive.

幻獣キメラーレナイ Genjuu Chimer Arena (Phantom Beast Indecisive Chimera)
Level 4 DARK Beast Normal Monster
ATK 1300
DEF 1300

Note: This card’s name is a play on Chimera, the mythical beast, and きめれない (Kimerenai), meaning to be indecisive about an issue.

英雄獣フダン Eiyuujuu Fudan (Hero Beast Fudan the Vacillator)
Level 3 LIGHT beast Normal monster
ATK 1000
DEF 1000

Note: Eiyuudan means “hero story”, Fudan can mean “undecided”. Fu can also mean axe, so there’s a non-zero chance this monster is referring to The Honest Woodcutter, a classic Aesop tale of honesty and choice.

超冥帝竜ジュゲムジュゲム Choumetiteiryuu Jugemu Jugemu (Jugemu Jugemu the Auspicious Supreme Underworld Monarch Dragon)
Level 7 DARK Wyrm Effect Monster
ATK 2200
DEF 2200
【REQUIREMENT】 You can activate this by sending the top card of the Deck to the Graveyard.
【EFFECT】 Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls, and it loses 500 ATK or DEF until the end of the turn. Then, this card gains 500 ATK until end of turn. But during this turn, this card cannot attack the selected monster.

Note: This map is a reference to Jugemu, a popular story in rakugo, a type of Japanese light comedy. It is often used as training for rakugo entertainers.

The long and short of it for anyone not clicking a link is that a father wants to give his child an auspicious, fancy name in order to give them an auspicious, long, happy life. He asks a monk for a name. The monk gives him a list. Since the father is damn indecisive, he picks *all* the names.

超冥 is a Chou Mei (long name) game, so I decided to make the name long.

アルカナイカフォース・ドッチツカーズ Arukanaika Force Docchitsukaazu (Arcan-or-can’t Force – Ambiguous)
Level 7 LIGHT Fairy Effect Monster
ATK 2100
DEF 2100
【REQUIREMENT】 You can activate this by sending 1 monster with the same ATK and DEF from your hand to the Graveyard.
【EFFECT】 Flip a coin. If heads, this card gains 1000 ATK until the end of the turn and destroys all face-up Level 8 or lower monsters your opponent controls. If tails, you take 1000 damage and all monsters you control are destroyed.

Note: It’s like two or three silly jokes pushed together.

The first is that it’s obviously an Arcana Force XXI – The World replacement.

Second, あるかないか, which is like “Shall I?” Should I?”

The third, second half of the name is a play on どっちつかず, which basically means “undecided”, “grey area”, “between and in between”, “ambiguous” or “unclear”. etc.

迷い橋 Mayoi Bashi (Swaying path)
Normal trap card
【REQUIREMENT】 You can activate this when a monster is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned face-up.
【EFFECT】 Target 1 face-up monster you control with the same ATK/DEF and 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. During this turn, your monster gains ATK times (the Level of your opponent’s selected monster) times 100. Then inflict damage to your opponent equal to (difference between your monster’s ATK and your opponent’s monster’s ATK).

Note: This is a game of 迷い箸, which literally means “swaying chopsticks” but, like all of Nishaw’s cards, refers to the indecision that comes from holding your chopsticks over the dish you want to choose from. Which is considered a faux pas when it comes to eating.
