Apple today announced that US customers can now connect with an Apple specialist through a live video session while purchasing an iPhone from the company’s online store. With this new service, customers can learn about the latest iPhone models and features, the move to iOS, trade-in offers, carrier deals and financing options.
Shop with a Specialist over Video is available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the Shop iPhone page of the Apple website. During the one-way session, Apple says the retail associate will be on camera to share his screen, but he won’t be able to see the customer. Apple promises the video session is “safe and secure.”
“With Shop with a Specialist over Video, our team members look forward to connecting with customers and providing them with exceptional service when they learn which iPhone is best for them,” said Karen Rasmussen, Apple Online Store Director .
Apple’s online store continues to allow customers to connect with a specialist via phone, online chat, or American Sign Language session.
